Jesse, part Lakota Indian, was born in California and raised in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee.  He had many musical influences such as Roy Orbison, The Beatles, and none other than, The King -- Elvis Presley.

Jesse gained his stage experience by performing in a variety of clubs and honkytonks on Beale Street and on the Overton Square Circuit in and around Memphis.  He was featured as lead singer with some of Memphis' hottest groups including Morningstar (acoustic-oriented rock band), Tres (middle-of-the-road country band), and R. B. and the Gang (fifties band).

When Jesse wasn't center stage, he was perfecting his gift as a songwriter.   He signed his first country song with Simply Grand Music/BMI in 1986.   And his love of songwriting brought him to Nashville, Tennessee in 1989.  From that time on, he graced the stages of many an "open mic" night at many clubs during his years performing in Nashville.  People always came out to hear Jesse sing.

Known for his own unique style of writing and playing, Jesse wrote over 300 songs during his lifetime, some recorded by other artists and some recorded by Jesse.
